Disable or enable auto run Go to the following registry key
Hkey_Local_Machine \ System \ Currentcontrolset \ Services \ Cdrom
1 for enable 0 means disable
Autorun setting for floppy disk (in registry)
Hkey_Local_Machine \ System \ Currentcontrolset \ Services \ Sfloppy
CD-Rom available to user logged in locally
Through Local group policy
Start gpedit.msc and go to the following options
computer configuration, windows settings, security settings, local policies, security options, the goto devices and enable the option (Restrict CD-ROM access to locally )
logged-on user only
Through registry editor
Start registry editor and go to the following key
Hkey_Local_Machine \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows Nt \ Currentversion \ Winlogon
Modify the following values (AllocatecdRoms) create (Reg_SZ) and set the value to 0 (through this registry editing only the user logon locally can access the CD Rom)
