Win 7 File System

Win 7 (File System Structure):-
Windows 7 used the most common file system NTFS, file system is a format which a computer can use to store date/information in our storage devices like Hard Drive, Master File Table (MFT) is the core of NTFS and is used by Operating System’s applications only, Actually MFT is a table which consists all files information such as file attributes, security features, rights, the physical location of a file on hard drive is also stored in MFT that is sectors where files are physically stored, and without this address the OS would
not know about the files, that where is the requested file is stored.
Like other OS Windows have too many system folders in which Win 7 system files, so its better that you not touch them, few important folders are as under:-
Windows Folder:-
Your Operating and application’s all executable and other important files that run operation system and applications are stored in Windows folder, all drivers and libraries are also stored in this folder, so do not delete any file from that folder.
Windows Old:-
If you install Windows 7 over the other OS with the option (preliminary formatting) then this folder will be created but its not important folder and you may delete it.
Users:-
By default this folder is located in root folder, and it contains all users profile information about each user in the computer, it contains subfolders like Desktop, Documents, Pictures, Favourt and other important things related with that particular user. It also contain information like Local Settings, App Data, Appdata, remember that these folders are hidden.
Boot:-
This is a hidden folder and it contains files which run operation system at first, thus not recommended that you can change the attributes or delete any file from it.
Programdata:-
Setup files, application’s files are stored in this folder, so this is the other important folder.
Recovery:-
This is a hidden folder, and contains image which is required when log in to System Recovery Console.
Recycle Bin:-
This is hidden folder and whenever you delete files from you computer they go to Recycle Bin, its easy that you can delete that folder or its contents. This is just like you empty the Recycle Bin.
